We Are No Quitters

In archery one of the factors that determines the distance of an arrow shot is the backward pull of the bow, for the arrow  to be shot to the farthest distance the bow must be at full draw. For an arrow to hit its target, the archer has to take a proper stance, give a firm grip on the bow, position his fingers, Draw, aim and release the arrow to its target, the longer the  draw back of the bow the farther the flight.

Drawbacks and setbacks are not always a bad thing, sometimes things have to go backward for them to move further. Discouragements and challenges are inevitable, at one point we all have to have some sort of drawbacks, either we act like arrows and use those times to aim, release and shoot for our targets or we let the draw backs draw our focus away from the target
There is a popular saying " NEVER EXPECT VICTORY WITHOUT DIFFICULTY".

Joseph didn't allow his brothers betrayal and being handed over from one slave trader to another stop him. He embraced the difficulty but held on tightly to his dreams and his hope for victory.

Moses's inability to talk clearly and his inability to face a crowd was used to propel him in leading the Israelite out of slavery.

Joshua's drawback was his inexperience in leadership but he found it deep within himself and became the man who lead the multitude to Canaan.

The children of Israel didn't allow the  thick long standing  walls of Jericho block their entry, the sang through their difficulty and those walls came crumbling.

Gideon stood as a mighty man of valor even though he came from the least family.

David had a mindset that even in the worst circumstances, he wouldn't let the devil overwhelm him with setbacks to forget he had God on his side. He pushed further  till he was king.

Jesus fell three times on his way to fulfill his life's purpose but He got back up each time after a fall, picked the cross and lifted it back up, focused on the goal and got nailed to the cross for the world's sake.

In the course of life's trip to our glorious destinies, it is okay to fall, it is okay to fail, it is okay to feel broken, it is okay to be discouraged and shrug  at the sight of set backs. But  do not let life beat the tough out of you. you are already locked on the battle field, you either stand and fight or you get killed and this is a battle we can win if we just throw more punches and dodge more obstacles. we are no quitters and like arrows the longer the pull the farther the flight. The Devil has to put the wilderness, the red sea, the walls of Jericho and a whole bunch of obstacles because he knows you are headed for the promise land. Every good thing you are going to do in life will be faced by a fight but the good news is you will win because you are no quitter.

You will meet the red sea but you will walk on water because you are no quitter.

The wilderness will come with hunger and thirst but you will march forward, because we are no quitter.
We will be faced by the thick walls of Jericho but like an arrow we will go over because we are no quitters.
Hard times will come but we are no quitters for we are more than conquerors.

"We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love." Rom.5:3-5
