I recently moved to Lagos, and I have been trying to adapt to how everything works here. I have lived most of my life in a quite little town and getting used to the traffic, rowdiness and noise has not been so easy. Life here is far from quiet, I miss my old favorite spot in Uyo, but I've got a wonderful substitute now. The view from the balcony is really amazing, but that is a story for another day.
Usually after a long day  I get to sit at my new favorite spot lost in my thoughts while watching the beautiful night lights,  cluster of houses, the traffic and the impatient drivers with their buzzing horns, always in a hurry to be somewhere. The right music and the cool evening breeze is my own kind of relaxation after long hours at work. My mind is a beautiful place you should visit sometime.

My thoughts wondered to a place  imagining how God sits in  heaven and watches the universe, like I was doing today, just sitting up there and seeing everything play out. I sat and watched  trying so hard to pay attention to everything at the same time, my eyes swept through every corner but could not focus on anything long enough.
God is super awesome to sit high up in the heavens and still have his eyes focused on everything at the same time, that's why He is God isn't it? He even knows the number of hair on our heads, that's how detailed He is.

In a city as  probably busy as Lagos lived a woman who had been ill for a long time, she walked through life hoping that one day all her worries will end and she would be healed from this ailment but time after time, her condition ceased to improve. She had gotten used to getting attention each time she went out; attention not because she was a beautiful and attractive woman but attention from this burden that had become her name. No one ever called her by name, so "lady with the issue of blood" became her only form of identification . When she  walked into a room  full of people, everyone knew she was there before she spoke.  The stench she gave off was enough to announce her. She had long wished to go unnoticed sometimes but that never happened. All her money spent on hospital bills but to no avail.

On this day she had heard of a man named Jesus, who had  recently come into her town and was known for  his healing powers. She would do anything in her ability  to meet this man and see if He would help her.  She knew that touching the hem of his garment would her make whole.
There was going to be a massive crowd that day  as this Man's fame had spread through the entire city and everyone was anxious to meet him. She would blend into the crowd ,go unnoticed and receive her healing. This was her only chance at the healing she wanted. It was better she tried and failed than not to try at all. She had emptied out her bottle of perfume soaking her clothes in them to alter the  stench she was known by.

On reaching the crowd, she was amazed at the number of people there. She had never seen so many people in one place. Struggling to make her way  through to Jesus as He was walking  through the crowd,  her face lit up with a  smile, as she realized her identity stench had gone unnoticed. Her plan was working and just few more obstacles and she would get to Him. She struggled further and reached for the edge of his garment  and immediately was healed.
She was filled with joy and on her out of the crowd when Jesus' question brought her back. "Who touched me?" Jesus asked. One of his followers amazed at his  question  replied ; " we have a large crowd here. Anyone could have touched you''. The woman dropped her disguise  and came out to the open to lay at his feet.

God is a God of details. in a crowd of thousands he doesn't miss a thing. You may feel like You are disguised in this crowded world and no one sees you and all your troubles. But the good news is God sees only you in the midst of a crowd. He isn't like a man whose eyes just sweeps through everything with no focus, nothing ever goes unnoticed with God.
He doesn't miss a thing, when you get lost and it feels like a crowd is crushing in on you and there are so many people that you seem to think God can't see you. He  still notices you in that crowd, He sees everything and He is focused at everything at the same time.
There's no place you can go that His love wouldn't find you.
There's no place you can hide, He doesn't see.
There's no place you could  fall to that His love wouldn't  catch you.
There's no amount of disguise that His eyes doesn't uncover.
When you are misunderstood, He understands you because He is the only one with you, all round you and in you at the same time.
Be still in that crowd and know he sees just you alone amidst everything else and He's got you.
He is in everything and He knows everything. Even darkness is light to him,
He sits on high and looks at every corner of the earth at the same time, focusing on every single thing all at once.
It may be a crowded world but God is MIND-FULL of you always.

"For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior.
He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, He will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs".
- Zeph.3:17 (NLT)
